Coffee With a Creative featuring Rachel McFadden and Hazel Geary

Thursday, January 15 • 9–10:30 AM • Virtual on Zoom

Join us for our first Coffee With a Creative of the year featuring Monument
Women’s Creative Alliance Co-Founders Rachel McFadden and Hazel Geary. As the
visionaries behind MWCA, Rachel and Hazel will share the story of how a simple
idea — creating a space they wished existed — grew into a thriving, supportive
community for women creatives in Baltimore.

Together, they’ll reflect on building MWCA from the ground up, balancing
creativity and strategy, and what it means to cultivate community with
intention. This conversation is an invitation to slow down, sip your coffee, and
connect with the heart behind the organization that brings so many creatives
together.

Whether you’re joining from your home office, kitchen table, or favorite cozy
corner, grab your coffee and settle in for an honest, inspiring conversation
about creativity, collaboration, and community.

About the Speakers

Rachel McFadden is the Left-Brain engineer-turned-web developer at Drio, where
she helps purpose-driven organizations stand out online through strategic
WordPress websites and digital marketing. With a deep love for logic-backed
design, Rachel focuses on creating digital experiences that reflect a brand’s
DNA and guide users with clarity and intention.

Beyond her work at Drio, Rachel is a passionate advocate for women in STEM and
creative fields. She has been a featured speaker and panelist for WOW Baltimore,
MCCEI, AIGA, and Notre Dame Prep. She is also the co-founder of Monument Women’s
Creative Alliance, a 400-member network dedicated to empowering women creatives
in Baltimore.

Hazel Geary is the Right-Brain creative force at Drio, an MBE-certified website
and marketing studio specializing in value-based WordPress websites and digital
strategy. Hazel works closely with women-owned businesses, purpose-driven
organizations, and nonprofits to create websites that are both beautiful and
deeply purposeful.

At Drio, Hazel believes a website should do more than look good — it should help
make a bigger impact on both the business and the world. Alongside Rachel, she
co-founded Monument Women’s Creative Alliance to support women creatives through
connection, inspiration, and education.
