Join us for Coffee With a Creative featuring Colleen E. Vacelet, PLA, CA, ASLA,
LEED AP, President of Intreegue Landscape Architecture, founded in 2013. With a
strong environmental foundation, Colleen has been a steward of the environment
since she could walk. Growing up working alongside her family’s saw mill and
landscape contracting business, she developed an early understanding of
landscape work and design. With a double degree in Landscape Architecture and
Horticulture, Colleen has built expertise in planting design and creating spaces
that feel thoughtful, functional, and grounded in their surroundings. Her work
is also shaped by her travels throughout France, where she studies French
gardens and their balance of simplicity and detail.
Beyond her work in landscape architecture, Colleen is a mentor, educator, and
community leader. She serves as an adjunct professor at the University of
Maryland, a board member for Cylburn Arboretum, and a mentor for students and
professionals across Maryland and beyond. Recently recognized as a Daily Record
Top 100 Women recipient, Baltimore Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree, and
recipient of the GBC Bridging the Gap Achievement Award, Colleen continues her
work through leadership, mentorship, and community involvement.

Meet Colleen E. Vacelet, PLA, CA, ASLA, LEED AP, President of Intreegue
Landscape Architecture and environmental steward whose work in landscape design
is rooted in growing up around her family’s saw mill and landscape contracting
business. With a double degree in Landscape Architecture and certifications as a
Certified Arborist and Horticulturist, Colleen has developed expertise in
planting design and creating thoughtful, environmentally grounded spaces.
